Giorgi Tsagareishvili, the First Deputy Chairman of the faction "Georgian Dream" and a member of the friendship group with the Parliament of Turkmenistan, met with the parliamentary delegation of Turkmenistan.

The meeting focused on the existing cooperation between Georgia and Turkmenistan, including tourism and trade-economic relations.

"The Republic of Turkmenistan was among the first to recognize the independence of Georgia, and today, we have established a friendly and partnership-oriented relationship. It's noteworthy that our relations at the inter-parliamentary level have recently intensified. Just two weeks ago, a high-level delegation led by the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia visited Turkmenistan, following a visit by the friendship group of the Parliament of Georgia. These developments underscore the intensity and fruitfulness of our relationship, which we aim to sustain and enhance. Given the current international situation, it is imperative to deepen our relations with Turkmenistan and leverage all available means, including the Transcaucasian transport corridor known as the "Middle Corridor", - Giorgi Tsagareishvili said.
