Mariam Lashkhi Visited Prominent Georgian Scientist Elene Abashidze

The Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, Mariam Lashkhi, together with the Education, Science and Youth Minister, Givi Mikanadze, visited prominent Georgian scientist Elene Abashidze and congratulated her on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
“Elene Abashidze’s life path and professional activity serve as an outstanding and important example for our future generation, particularly for many girls and women. It is noteworthy and a matter of pride that a woman whose scientific work has been repeatedly recognised worldwide continues her activities with such dedication”, - Mariam Lashkhi stated.
Elene Abashidze is a geographer, speleologist, hydrologist and hydrogeologist, and holds a Doctorate in Geological and Mineralogical Sciences.
Her scientific research has been recognized both in Georgia and internationally.
Her doctoral dissertation was evaluated by the International Biographical Institute of the United States, and she has been awarded the honorary title of “Woman of the Year” among women scientists, along with the corresponding certificate.
