The Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, Mariam Lashkhi, delivered a speech at an event dedicated to the anniversary of the Resource Officer Service.

 

Mariam Lashkhi thanked the resource officers for fulfilling their official duties and spoke about the importance of the service.

 

“I would like to thank each resource officer for ensuring that our children are in a safe environment at school and that, alongside education, their upbringing is properly supported. School is an important stage of education. In school, children develop culture and mutual respect, and alongside general education, they acquire essential skills and qualities. This ultimately contributes to their personal development. Congratulations on this important date. The Resource Officer Service has been in existence for 16 years, and during this time it has repeatedly demonstrated its institutional importance”, - Mariam Lashkhi stated.

 

The participants of the event were also addressed by the Education, Science and Youth Minister, Givi Mikanadze; the Chair of the Tbilisi City Council, Zurab Abashidze; and the Head of the Resource Officer Service, Pavle Macharashvili.

 

At the event, resource officers, psychologists, social workers, and administrative staff of the Resource Officer Service were awarded certificates and special prizes for exemplary performance of their duties.

 

The award ceremony was organized by the Education, Science and Youth Ministry and held at the Tbilisi City Council.

 

The event was also attended by the First Deputy Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, Giorgi Sosiashvili, and a member of the Committee, Deputy Chair of the Georgian Dream faction, Rima Beradze.
