According to the Chair of the Chair, Nino Tsilosani, the Council and other MPs intend to develop the concept of the economic empowerment of women including the long-term plans.

“The concept of the economic empowerment of women is a policy document, providing the long-term plans for the economic empowerment of women and the role of the state in this process in the legal and program parts. Thus, the set-up of this Group was of key importance. Backed by our international donors and experts, the Group will hold intensive activity to initiate the concept as of the end of the year”, - she noted.

The Council heard the report by the Inter-Agency Commission on Violence against Women and Domestic Violence.
