The Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee awarded he pedagogues and children of the public schools of the Akhaltsikhe municipality.

Members of Parliament expressed their gratitude to the pedagogues for their efforts and activities and presented them with symbolic gifts. The gold and silver medals were subsequently presented to the alumni who graduated with honors last academic year. The MPs also congratulated the schoolchildren on their achievements and extended their best wishes.

Mariam Lashkhi, Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee; Anton Obolashvili, the Delegate for Akhaltsikhe, Borjomi, Adigeni and Aspindza municipalities; Vladimir Bozhadze, Chair of the Parliamentary Political Group “European Socialists”; Zaal Gelashvili, the State Trustee to the Samtskhe-Javakheti region; Irakli Lazarashvili, the Mayor of Akhaltsikhe; and David Lomidze, Chair of the Akhaltsikhe City Assembly, also addressed the attendees.

The ceremony was held on the territory of Akhaltsikhe Fortress with the organisation of the Akhaltsikhe Educational Resource Centre.

The awarding ceremony was attended by the representatives of the general educational institutions.
