The Parliament discussed for the III reading and approved the Draft Law on Weapons with 81 votes, re-formulating the regulations on weapons, namely, the firearms shall be considered as defense weapons the total length of which is less than 55 cm., and all other weapons the total length of which exceeds 55 cm., shall be considered as a hunting weapon.

The Draft entitles the police to on place inspect and verify the owner of the weapon for his/her adherence to the rules established for the storage of the weapon and if the police officers are not admitted to the apartment, then the owner shall, within the term of 7 days, in person submit the weapons he/she owns to the police department.
