The Procedural Issues and Rules Committee approved the termination of the Powers of MPs for Irakli Kobakhidze, Maka Botchorishvili, Anri Okhanashvili, David Songulashvili and Mariam Kvrivishvili

The Procedural Issues and Rules Committee discussed the pre-term termination of the Powers of MPs for Irakli Kobakhidze, Maka Botchorishvili, Anri Okhanashvili, David Songulashvili and Mariam Kvrivishvili.


As elucidated by the Chair of the Committee, David Matikashvili, after the declaration of the vote of confidence to the Government, and pursuant to the Constitution of Georg and the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament, the pre-term termination of the Powers of MP has been introduced to the agenda on the occasion of the appointment of Members of Parliament on the positions incompatible with the status of MP, namely, the Powers of MP shall be terminated to: Irakli Kobakhidze on the occasion of his appointment on the position of the Prime Minister; Maka Botchorishvili due to her appointment on the position of the Foreign Affairs Minister; Anri Okhanashvili, since he is appointed as the Justice Minister; David Songulashvili - appointed as the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture; and Mariam Kvrivishvili due to the appointment as the Minister of Economics and Sustainable Development.


The respective conclusions of the Committee have been put on voting in a standalone manner and approved. The issue is submitted to the plenary session for consideration.
