Independent MP Tamar Charkviani met with the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Republic of Poland of Georgia, H.E. Mariusz Pietrzak to discuss the current situation in the region and the visit of the President of Belarus to the occupied region of Georgia - Abkhazia.

Tamar Charkviani discussed the imprisonment of the third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, and Nika Gvaramia with the guest.

"We talked about Russia-Georgia relations amid Lukashenko's anti-state controversy. He confronted literally the entire Western community, which has recognized the territorial integrity of Georgia. We expect more severe statements because this was an unprecedentedly disgraceful act. We talked about Mikheil Saakashvili and Nika Gvaramia. If we are talking about de-escalation, we should try to ensure that the country does not have political prisoners", - Tamar Charkviani commented.

The parties agreed to continue cooperation in the future.
