MP Tamar Charkviani held a meeting with the Deputy Chief of the US Embassy Political-Economic Affairs Division, Aaron Rupert to discuss the Russian aggression in Ukraine and the security challenges posed to Georgia with this aggression.

The parties discussed the EU membership application of Georgia.

“The meeting was very interesting. We discussed the commitment of Georgia to EU membership. I noted that we need to undertake the reforms in this direction as reflected in the Charles Michel document. We overviewed the Georgia-Ukraine relations. I noted that no one wants the war and there are the red lines not to be crossed and there is a moral side of it that we, the opposition, are concerned of”, - T. Charkviani stated.
