The Vice-Speaker, Zviad Dzidziguri and the Chair of Defense and Security Committee, Irakli Sesiashvili laid the wreath on the Memorial to the Cadets deceased on February 25, 1921

Zviad Dzidziguri and Irakli Sesiashvili honored the Cadets, deceased in the fight for independence of Georgia on February 25, 1921 near Kojori-Tabakhmela.

We want the society to know that our sovereignty and territorial integrity are sacrosanct. It is the statehood meaning of this and every other day”.

As I. Sesiashvili evaluated, devotion of the Cadets is the model for future generations. “Despite that this day is one of the tragic days in our history, we are proud approaching the Memorial to the Cadets because these young men and women gave us the example how to live and sacrifice our lives for our country and it is the greatest heritage for each and every of us, especially for officers and soldiers. So, it is high honor for us to commemorate the Cadets”.

In line with the Resolution of the Parliament of July 21, 2010, February 25 of every year is declared as the Day of Soviet Occupation.
