
The Chair of the Defence and Security Committee, Aleksandre Tabatadze, held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Georgia, Walid Abu Haya.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the friendly and partnership relations between Georgia and Israel and exchanged views on the prospects for further developing cooperation in the fields of defence and security.
The Committee Chair thanked the State of Israel for its steadfast support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and noted that Georgia attaches great importance to further deepening mutually beneficial cooperation with Israel.
“Relations between Georgia and Israel are founded on a long history of friendship, shared values, and close ties between our peoples, which provide a solid basis for further strengthening the partnership between our countries. We expressed our readiness to promote the continued development of existing relations. Deepening bilateral cooperation will make a significant contribution to strengthening the security, stability, and prosperity of both Georgia and Israel, as well as the wider region”, - said Aleksandre Tabatadze.
