
The Chair of the Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee, Irakli Kadagishvili, met with monitors of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the implementation of self-government and decentralization policies in Georgia.
“Georgia has certain obligations arising from the European Charter of Local Self-Government, and today’s meeting focused on these matters. We provided the representatives of the Council of Europe with comprehensive information on the steps taken in Georgia to promote regionalism and, in particular, the development of local self-government”, - Irakli Kadagishvili stated following the meeting.
