Maka Botchorishvili Continues Official Visit to Budapest, Hungary

The Chairperson of the European Integration Committee, Maka Botchorishvili, held working meetings with representatives of Hungary's legislative and executive authorities within the framework of Hungary's current presidency of the European Union.

 

The parties discussed bilateral cooperation issues and the agenda, as well as the dynamics of Georgia-EU relations and collaboration within Hungary's EU presidency.

 

Maka Botchorishvili thanked her Hungarian colleagues for their steadfast support on Georgia's path to EU membership.

 

In turn, the Hungarian side reaffirmed its support for Georgia, emphasizing the importance of EU enlargement policy as a priority for Hungary's presidency.

 

During the visit, Maka Botchorishvili held meetings with Zoltan Tessely, Chairperson of the EU Affairs Committee of the Hungarian National Assembly; Péter Sztáray, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Barna Pál Zsigmond, Deputy Minister for EU Affairs; Balázs Molnár, Deputy State Secretary; and Bólya Boglárka, Commissioner for EU Presidency Affairs.
