Meeting of Mamuka Mdinaradze with the Ambassador of Slovakia

The Parliamentary Majority Leader, the Chair of the Faction “Georgian Dream”, Mamuka Mdinaradze held a meeting with the Ambassador of Slovakia, H.E. Matus Busovsky for the deliberation of bilateral relations, the EU integration of Georgia and the Draft Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence initiated by the Faction.

“The interests that Georgia shares with the EU actually remain unchanged, which was the topic of our conversation with the Ambassador. Naturally, the Slovakian diplomat asked about the Draft Law initiated by us. It is applaudable that the EU, unlike the previous year, expresses a modified position. Regrettably, we are still criticized but we cannot consider this criticism as justified. Countries shall not be criticized because of the Draft Law that the European Commission initiated itself. It is not fair, as the then decision about the EU candidate status for Georgia was not also fair. The Ambassador extended the intact support of his country to Georgia. Our countries strive to enhance the cooperation in political, economic and other spheres, for which we are highly grateful to the Government members that are assigned for this mission. Their merit was as well underlined by our guest”, - M. Mdinaradze noted.

The parties highlighted the increasing dynamics of trade relations that serve as a basis for further development.
