Mariam Lashkhi participated in the graduation ceremony at Kutaisi International University

Mariam Lashkhi, Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, participated in the graduation ceremony at Kutaisi International University (KIU).


She congratulated the students on their graduation and extended her best wishes for their further activities.


“Kutaisi International University is not only a leading centre of knowledge and education in Georgia but a hub of progress and innovation. Its curriculum is based on European values and research, enabling the new generation to think globally and act for the benefit of the country”, - she stated.


Levan Girsiashvili, the First Deputy Education, Science and Youth Minister; Professor Paata Turava, Acting Rector of KIU; Wolfgang Herrmann, Honorary President of the KIU and the President of the Munich Technical University Emeritus; and Professor Gerhard Kramer, Executive Vice-President of the Munich Technical University, also addressed the attendees.


At the end of the ceremony, the diplomas were delivered to the KIU alumni. The ceremony was attended by Giorgi Chakvetadze, the First Deputy Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, and Zaza Lominadze, the Kutaisi Municipality Delegate, as well as the representatives of the executive, legislative and local authorities, the students, Rectors of Universities and other invited guests.
