
Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, met with the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the South Caucasus, Ambassador Christoph Späti.
The main topic of discussion was the current developments in the South Caucasus and the situation in the regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali, which are occupied by Russia.
During the meeting, Nikoloz Samkharadze spoke about the policy of the Georgian government regarding the occupied regions.
The parties also discussed the 66th round of the Geneva International Discussions and its outcomes.
“The main issue discussed during the meeting with the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the South Caucasus, Christoph Späti, was the occupied regions. We talked about the 66th round of the Geneva International Discussions held on March 18–19 and once again emphasized the importance of the Geneva talks for the Georgian side”, - said Nikoloz Samkharadze after the meeting.
