The Georgia-Montenegro Parliamentary Friendship Group has started the 2-day official visit to Montenegro.

The first meeting was held with the Vice-President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mme. Zdenka Popović.

The parties deliberated on sharing the EU integration experience of Montenegro, as well as the enhancement of bilateral relations and the role of the Parliaments in this process. Mme. Popović highly evaluated the economic progress of Georgia and the ongoing infrastructural projects, expressing her interest in the advancement.

The visit agenda includes meetings with the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, and the members of the Foreign Relations Committee, and the Education, Science, Culture and Sports Committee, and the Friendship Group with Georgia.

The Parliamentary Delegation of Georgia is composed of: the Head of the Friendship Group, the Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, Givi Mikanadze; the Chair of the Sports Committee, Irakli Medzmariashvili; the Deputy Chair of the Faction “Georgian Dream”, Greta Tsitsava; and the First Deputy Chair of the Legal Issues Committee, David Matikashvili.
