The Parliamentary Delegation participated in the NATO PA Spring Session

The Parliamentary Delegation participated in the NATO PA Spring Session held in the city of Sofia.


The Delegation members – Khatia Tsilosani, Givi Mikanadze, Giorgi Chakvetadze, Teona Akubardia and Tinatin Bokuchava attended the session.


The agenda of the session included the reports of the NATO PA Committees, which provided the progress of Georgia in the NATO approximation process and the implementation of the reforms.


As highlighted at the session, Georgia, in line with the Bucharest Summit decision, shall become a NATO member. Within the framework of the Assembly, a meeting was held with the NATO PA President and the Assembly Bureau members.


The Delegation enjoyed an opportunity to provide detailed information about the procedures for the adoption of the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence.


The NATO PA participants adopted the declaration reflecting the NATO open door policy and the support for Georgia.
