The Parliament discussed for the III reading and adopted the Draft Organic Law on Election Code with 80 votes unanimously, introduced by David Matikashvili. A new norm is to be introduced to the Code, prescribing that if the decision cannot be made at the CEC sitting, the adoption of which requires at least 2/3 of the full composition, the hereof decision shall be re-voted at the same sitting. In this case, the decision shall be considered made if approved by the majority of the full composition.
The Draft also envisages that the remuneration and/or activity of the temporary DEC member, the auxiliary or technical personnel, and the PEC member cannot, in prejudice thereto affect the registration of their socially vulnerable families into a database, the issue of the social allowance and/or aid, the application of the social preferences and/or participation in the employment program/subprogram.
