The draft Spatial Planning, Architectural and Construction Activities Code adopted by the Parliament
The Parliament of Georgia adopted, in the III reading and under an expedited procedure, the draft Spatial Planning, Architectural and Construction Activities Code, with 72 votes in favor.

The issue was presented at the plenary session by Deputy Infrastructure Minister Mzia Giorgobiani.

According to the draft law, by decision of the relevant municipality, in the framework of supportive measures for the construction/reconstruction of early and preschool education institutions and general education institutions - schools by public institutions, it will be possible to exceed the maximum permitted building coverage ratio and/or the maximum permitted development intensity ratio of a land plot, and/or to reduce the minimum greenery coefficient. In addition, construction documentation may be approved under conditions differing from those established by Georgian legislation. Public institutions will be able to request the application of such supportive measures until December 31, 2035.
