The Parliament of Georgia adopted, by 87 votes, the resolution “On the Approval of the Composition of the Parliamentary Selection Commission for Candidates for Membership of the Board of Trustees of the Public Broadcaster”.

Presenting the draft resolution, the Speaker of Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, stated that the selection commission consists of nine members: Givi Abesadze, Mariam Gvidiani, Rozeta Gujejiani, Tamar Kekenadze, Davit Maglaperidze, Ermile Meskhia, Nino Meunargia, Sopio Nikolaishvili, and Shorena Shaverdashvili.

“The members of the commission were selected through consultations with the relevant entities. By this, I mean the entities that are authorized to nominate candidates, namely: the parliamentary majority, the parliamentary opposition, the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, and the Public Defender”, - Shalva Papuashvili stated.
