The Georgia-Greece Parliamentary Friendship Group held an online meeting with its Greek colleagues

The Head of the Georgia-Greece Parliamentary Friendship Group, Irakli Kadagishvili, and the Group members - Maia Bitadze and Irakli Zarkua, as well as the Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze, held an online meeting with the members of the Greece-Georgia Friendship Group of the Greek Parliament.

The colleagues deliberated on the political and cultural relationships between the two nations and outlined cooperation prospects.

“At the meeting with our Greek colleagues, we emphasised the significance of Georgia-Greece relations and the historic ties between the two nations. We discussed Greece’s support for Georgia’s EU integration within international political forums. The diaspora, culture and economic aspects were also reviewed. Regarding cooperation prospects, we agreed on bilateral visits by Parliamentary Delegations to Tbilisi and Athens to make our relations more effective and interesting”, - I. Kadagishvili noted.

The online meeting was organized with the support of the Ambassador of Georgia to Greece, H.E. Levan Beridze, and the Envoy, David Jalagonia.
