The Budget and Finance Committee deliberated on the revised Draft State Budget 2026

The Budget and Finance Committee deliberated on the revised Draft State Budget 2026, introduced by the First Deputy Finance Minister, Giorgi Kakauridze.

The reporter introduced the basic macroeconomics parameters; according to him, the real economic growth is planned at 5,0%, and in the average term - 5,3% as forecasted. The GDP deflator forecast for 2025 is set at 4%, decreasing to 3,0% for the upcoming years.


The reporter reviewed the financing of certain Ministries and noted that the state budget assignments constitute 30 billion 475 million GEL.

“The allocations for the IPDs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs Ministry exceed 9 billion 620 million GEL. The funding for the Education, Science and Youth Ministry amounts to 2 billion 615 million GEL, while the Culture Ministry enjoys 319 million GEL. 295 million GEL has been allocated for the Sports Ministry, the funding for the Infrastructure Ministry is set at 3 billion 97 million GEL, the Environmental Protection and Agriculture Ministry will receive 855 million GEL, the Regional Development Ministry will receive 110 million GEL, and the Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry has a budget of 1 billion 142 million GEL”, - he reported.

The Committee approved the document.

Giorgi Kakauridze also introduced the 9-month state budget 2025 implementation report; the Committee took note of the document.
