The Foreign Relations Committee heard the Ambassador of UAE to Georgia

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Ahmed Al Nuaimi provided the accounts to the Foreign Relations Committee, speaking about the UAE foreign policy priorities.


He placed particular emphasis on the growing dynamics of the bilateral partnership and friendly relations between Georgia and the UAE, including economic cooperation, trade facilitation, and investment opportunities.


“Today, Georgia is one of the most valuable partners in the region for the United Arab Emirates. Our country supports Georgia in utilizing its infrastructure, connectivity, and economic potential. Our engagement in the Middle Corridor further underscores our vision of Georgia’s role,” - stated Ahmed Alnuaimi.


According to him, the UAE’s investments in Georgia represent yet another strong example reflecting his country’s long-term vision.


The Ambassador noted that bilateral trade has reached a historic milestone; however, there remains potential for further growth.


He stated that the UAE will continue to support Georgia in developing its exports and in deepening relations with the private sector.


The diplomat also spoke about improving transport and connectivity.


He highlighted the opportunities for developing sustainable and renewable energy.


Speaking about cooperation in the field of education, the Ambassador noted that Georgian students will have the opportunity to study at one of the leading state universities of the United Arab Emirates.


He also discussed opportunities for developing tourism between the two countries.


“The partnership between the United Arab Emirates and Georgia is based on shared values and a common vision for the future. I would like to express my gratitude for your continuous efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between our countries. We share a commitment to enhancing cooperation that will benefit the citizens of both nations”, - he noted.


As is customary, responses to the questions posed by Members of Parliament were heard behind closed doors.


“Relations between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates continue to deepen. We enjoy very strong political relations, which also define the economic cooperation between our countries. During the meeting, we discussed the need to further strengthen trade ties. Attention was also given to advancing cooperation in cultural and educational fields. It is important that the Ambassador once again publicly expressed his country’s goodwill toward Georgia and reiterated the UAE’s position during the meeting of the Foreign Relations Committee held in Parliament”, - said the Chair of the Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze.
