Within the framework of the visit to London, the Delegation of the Defense and Security Committee, headed by Irakli Beraia held a meeting with the Chairman of the Inter-Party Parliamentary Group Working on Georgian issues in the Great Britain Parliament, Jonathan Djanogly, and the Chair of the Defense Committee of the House of Commons, Robert Courts.

The meeting was dedicated to the deliberation of the key directions of the strategic partnership, enhancement of the defense capacity and security and further priorities. The Georgian Delegation informed the British MPs about the situation in the occupied regions and underlined the necessity to ensure security guarantees for Georgia by the international partners.

Georgian MPs stressed the role of the UK in terms of the de-occupation, security and NATO integration of Georgia.

The meeting was attended by MPs Irakli Chikovani, Alexander Tabatadze, Khatia Tsilosani and the Ambassador of Georgia to Great Britain, H.E. Sofio Katsarava.
