The Chair of the Defense and Security Committee, Irakli Beraia, and members of the Parliamentary Majority recently visited the Sachkhere Mountain Training School. During the visit, the MPs paid their respects to the military personnel who died in the fight for the territorial integrity of Georgia by placing a wreath on their memorial located on the school's premises and observing a moment of silence.
Colonel Ivane Tskhadadze, the head of the Training School, briefed the MPs on the school's mission, tasks, training programs, mountain equipment, and future plans. The MPs gave a positive assessment of the training process at the school, the specially designed training programs, and the elements of demonstration training.
"The visit of the Chair of the Defense and Security Committee and members of the Parliamentary Majority to the Sachkhere Mountain Training School provided an opportunity to observe the infrastructure, material, and technical base, and interact with military personnel. The school is unique and impressive, regarded as one of the best in the world. The fact that it trains military personnel of the defense forces, has NATO program accreditation, and offers training to NATO members and partner states, emphasizes its importance to Georgia's defense capability. The legislators will ensure that the army receives maximum support, and as many resources as possible are directed towards the country's defense", - Irakli Beraia stated.
Members of Parliament and Deputy Minister of Defense Grigol Giorgadze attended demonstration training at the Mountain Training School and had lunch with military personnel.
