The Procedural Issues and Rules Committee declaring the Parliamentary Resolution on the Endorsement of the Provision of the Council of Heraldry void

The Procedural Issues and Rules Committee deliberated on the Draft Resolution, declaring the Parliamentary Resolution on the Endorsement of the Provision of the Council of Heraldry void.


According to the Chair of the Committee, David Matikashvili, the LEPL Department of State Symbols and Heraldry is responsible for regulating matters related to state symbols and symbols of state significance.


As of March 10, 2025, this unit is subordinate to the Government. Correspondingly, the Draft Resolution declares the Parliamentary Resolution of September 29, 2020, on the Endorsement of the Provision of the State Council of Heraldry of the Parliament of Georgia.


Hence, the Provision shall now be endorsed by the government with the reference of the Chair of the Department.


The Committee endorsed the Draft.
