The Committee discussed the outcomes of the verification of the authenticity of the signatures on the petition concerning the problems in obtaining Georgian citizenship and residence permits for the Fereydan Georgians submitted by the Non-Entrepreneurial (Non-Commercial) Legal Entity “From Fereydan to Georgia”.

The scrutiny revealed the facts of the violation of the requirements of Article 203 of the Rules of Procedure, on the basis of which, 17 signatures have been recognized invalid, however, the number of authentic signatures (335) exceeds the limit established under the law (300). Hence, the petition submitted by the initiative group is being redirected to the Bureau.
