Shalva Papuashvili delivered a lecture at China Foreign Affairs University

The Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili, delivered a lecture at China Foreign Affairs University.

China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU), located in Beijing, is a public university affiliated with China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is known as the “cradle of Chinese diplomats.” The university trains professionals in the fields of diplomacy, international relations, and international law.

In his lecture, Shalva Papuashvili emphasized the importance of the first visit of the Georgian parliamentary delegation to China and highlighted the growing strategic partnership between Georgia and China.

According to him, the world is undergoing transformative processes and, amid the current turbulent environment, Georgia remains an island of peace and development.

Shalva Papuashvili also spoke about the efforts of the Georgian government aimed at protecting national interests and sovereignty.

The Speaker of Parliament further underlined Georgia’s strategic geographic location and its significant potential in the field of connectivity.

The meeting took place within the framework of Shalva Papuashvili’s official visit to the People's Republic of China.

Alongside the Speaker of Parliament, First Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia and Head of the Georgia-China Parliamentary Friendship Group Giorgi Volski, as well as Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee Nikoloz Samkharadze, also addressed the audience.
