
At a meeting of the Sports Committee, First Deputy Finance Minister Giorgi Kakauridze presented the Annual Report on the Execution of Georgia’s 2025 State Budget.
“Additional funding was allocated to the Ministry of Sports from the state budget at the end of 2025. As a result of effective management, the Ministry was able to execute its budget at 100.3%”, - the First Deputy Minister stated.
The presenter provided a detailed overview of the economic, revenue, and fiscal parameters of the country’s main financial document for 2025. According to him, the economy concluded the year with 7.5% growth, exceeding the planned rate of 6%. The budget deficit had been projected at 2.5%, but amounted to only 1.4% by the end of the year.
“Compared to 2024, foreign trade turnover increased by 10.3% in 2025, while foreign direct investment grew by 7.6%. The upward trend in tourism revenues continued, reaching USD 4.69 billion, which is 6% higher than the 2024 figure. Money transfers also increased by 8.2% compared to the previous year, totaling USD 3.23 billion”, - Giorgi Kakauridze noted.
He further stated that in 2025, the revenue component of the state budget was fulfilled at 100.7%, amounting to GEL 23.816 billion, while expenditures totaled GEL 22.854 billion.

The Sports Committee positively assessed the Annual Report on the Execution of the 2025 State Budget and took note of it.
