The Defense and Security Committee considered, in the II reading, the draft Defense Code, prepared on the initiative of the Government of Georgia. According to the reporter, Deputy Defense Minister Grigol Giorgadze, the presented version fully reflects the remarks made by the Legal Affairs Committee and the Defense and Security Committee.

The Deputy Minister introduced the proposed amendments to the Code, outlining the editorial and substantive changes incorporated after the I reading.

According to him, the draft law was prepared to clarify issues related to the military registration of conscripts, the organization of national military service, and service in the Defense Forces of Georgia.

Mr. Giorgadze also presented, in the II reading, the draft law on the Rules for Exit of Citizens of Georgia from Georgia and Entry into Georgia, derived from the draft Defense Code.

Members of the Defense and Security Committee approved the draft laws.
