Aleksandre Tabatadze met with Director of Italy’s Interagency Advanced Training Institute for Law Enforcement Officials

As part of a working visit to the Italian Republic, the Chair of the Defence and Security Committee, Aleksandre Tabatadze, together with Committee members Zviad Shalamberidze and Ioseb Jorbenadze, met with Vincenzo Massimo Modeo, Director of Italy’s Interagency Advanced Training Institute for Law Enforcement Officials (Scuola di Perfezionamento per le Forze di Polizia – SSPF) and General of Public Security.
The Director introduced the Georgian legislators to the activities of the Academy and guided them through its training facilities. It was noted that the Academy is a unique educational institution in Italy, providing professional training for senior representatives of the country’s various law enforcement agencies and promoting interagency cooperation. The Academy operates under the Public Security Department of the Italian Ministry of the Interior.
During the meeting, the parties discussed contemporary challenges in the field of security, the importance of professional education, and opportunities for deepening cooperation between Georgia and Italy. The discussion also focused on the value of sharing best practices and experience in the institutional development of law enforcement and security sectors.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of a visit to Georgia by representatives of the Interagency Advanced Training Institute for Law Enforcement Officials, as well as prospects for future cooperation.
