Pridon Injia concerning the Constitutional Changes: I offer to replace the “family values” with “Georgian values”

Pridon Injia concerning the Constitutional Changes: I offer to replace the “family values” with “Georgian values”

“I, being the Chair of the opposition party, do not intend and believe to be against the Government and the beneficial activities taken by the Government today”, - the Chair of the Faction “European Socialists”, Pridon Injia stated at the universal-public consideration of the Draft Constitutional Changes and the Draft Constitutional Law on Protection of Family Values and Minors in Kutaisi.

As he noted, the ruling party offers the record “family values” etc.

“I would replace the “family values” with “Georgian values” because every country has its own values and some family values in various countries, from their perspective, carry a meaning that is unacceptable to us. Thus, I offer to replace the “family values” with “Georgian values” – the latter includes the family values and the traditions and the force that stands as a pillar in the souls of every Georgian and which was the force that saved our country. The empires that existed centuries ago today have all perished but the Georgian people and the Georgian state will endure till the end of the world”, - he stated.

The Draft Constitutional changes are being considered in Kutaisi. Meetings with population will be held in various cities.
