The Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee members visited the pre-school, general and vocational educational institutions in Samtskhe-Javakheti.

MPs visited the newly renovated Village Ude Iokime Balakhashvili Public School №1 in Adigeni and met with the children and pedagogues.

The Committee members also visited the Vocational School “Opizari” in Akhaltsikhe to get cognizant of the syllabuses and material technical capabilities.

“It is imperative that the educational institutions in this region have the infrastructure to meet the needs of the local population. Schools are adapted to children with special educational needs “, - stated the Chair of the Committee, Mariam Lashkhi.

The Committee members were accompanied by the Delegate for Akhaltsikhe, Borjomi, Adigeni and Aspindza municipalities, Anton Obolashvili; the State Trustee to Samtskhe-Javakheti, Zaal Gelashvili; the Deputy Education, Science and Youth Minister, Zviad Gabisonia; and the local authorities.
