Giorgi Gabunia attended the presentation of the stamps honoring Anzor Erkomaishvili and Tamar Mamaladze

Giorgi Gabunia, Chair of the Culture Committee, attended the presentation of the stamps dedicated to Anzor Erkomaishvili and Tamar Mamaladze at the State Folklore Center.
As highlighted at the presentation, the stamps issued on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of Anzor Erkomaishvili serve to commemorate his name and merit.
The State Folklore Centre’s initiative also included the release of a stamp honouring Tamar Mamaladze, the first Georgian female ethnomusicologist. She has visited villages in Georgia and the North Caucasus region in the 1950s and 1970s and made unique folk recordings. The Centre has digitised her heritage with the support of the Culture Ministry for publication in a multivolume format.
The symbolic gifts, the first specimens of the stamps, were presented to the guests attending the event.
