Irakli Shatakishvili, Single Mandate MP representing Rustavi and ten communities of Gardabani, met with students and teachers of Public School No. 2 in the village of Martkopi, Gardabani Municipality.

 

During the meeting, Irakli Shatakishvili spoke about the main activities of parliamentary committees, their oversight functions, and the legislative process. The students participated in a simulated committee sitting and held discussions on topics of interest to them.

 

Irakli Shatakishvili also discussed employment programs and the ongoing higher education reform. He answered questions related to vocational, dual, and non-formal education, and highlighted measures undertaken by the government to support the development of education.

 

The visiting students and teachers also toured the Ekvtime Takaishvili Museum of Georgian Parliamentarism and the Parliament Palace.
