The Legal Issues Committee Discussed the draft Law on the Structure, Powers and Rules of Procedure of the Government of Georgia in the II Reading

The Legal Issues Committee discussed and approved, under an expedited procedure and in the II reading, the draft Law on the Structure, Powers and Rules of Procedure of the Government of Georgia.
The bill envisages the introduction of the position of the State Minister of Georgia for Coordination of Law Enforcement Agencies within the Government of Georgia. In addition, the Government of Georgia will be required to define the powers and scope of authority of the State Minister and, if necessary, ensure that relevant subordinate normative acts are brought into compliance with the law.
According to the draft law, the Government Administration of Georgia will provide the material, technical and organizational support necessary for the activities of the State Minister for Coordination of Law Enforcement Agencies.
