Mariam Lashkhi Addressed Event Marking the 60th Anniversary of the Vladimir Komarov Tbilisi Physics and Mathematics Public School No. 199

The Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, Mariam Lashkhi, delivered remarks at an event dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Vladimir Komarov Tbilisi Physics and Mathematics Public School No. 199.

Mariam Lashkhi congratulated the students, teachers, and administrative staff of the school on the anniversary and spoke about the institution’s distinguished role.

“Today’s occasion brings together the past, present, and future, reminding us that education is the primary foundation of progress and development. Based on the Constitution of Georgia and the relevant legislation, the National Curriculum for General Education defines the core values and principles upon which the education system should be built. It envisages the creation of an environment grounded in national and democratic values, personal and social development, inclusion, and civic responsibility. Such an environment is precisely what exists at the Vladimir Komarov Tbilisi Physics and Mathematics Public School No. 199. We express our deep respect to those who are shaping future generations”, - Mariam Lashkhi stated.

At the anniversary event, the school’s Director, Vakhtang Jaoshvili, presented the history of the school’s development to the invited guests.

As part of the event, teachers of the Komarov School were awarded for their many years of service and their significant contribution to the development of the institution.

The anniversary event was attended by the Education, Science and Youth Minister, Givi Mikanadze, the Infrastructure Minister, Revaz Sokhadze, and the IDPs, Labour, Health and Social Affairs Minister, Mikheil Sarjveladze.
