Mariam Lashkhi Participated in an Event Dedicated to the Day of Family Purity Held Within the Framework of the Project “Me, Family, State”

Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee Mariam Lashkhi participated in an event dedicated to the Day of Family Purity held at the National Youth Palace of Georgia within the framework of the project “Me, Family, State”.

Addressing the audience, Mariam Lashkhi noted that holding an event dedicated to the Day of Family Purity carries special significance.

“Together, we are strengthening the main foundation of Georgia — the family. The family truly is the cornerstone of our country and the guarantee of its survival”, - she stated.

According to her, it is important that young people actively participate in such projects and create new initiatives related to these issues.

As Mariam Lashkhi noted, the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, together with the Health Care and Social Issues Committee, has established a special working group focused on demographic challenges and issues related to strengthening families.

“Very soon, we will present our first recommendations aimed at supporting families, as well as renewing and improving state programs. Our country must have strong youth and strong families, and it is important that a systemic policy exists in this regard”, - the committee chair stated.

Mariam Lashkhi also awarded certificates of appreciation to representatives of higher educational institutions and the diaspora participating in the project.
