Parliament Passed Amendments to the Law on “Licenses and Permits” in the I Reading

Parliament discussed and adopted, in the I reading and under an expedited procedure, the draft Law on Licenses and Permits with 77 votes in favor and 2 against.
The issue was presented at the plenary session by the Chair of the Culture Committee, Giorgi Gabunia.
According to the amendment, the Tbilisi City Council will be authorized to establish the procedure for preparing and approving construction documentation for works on cultural heritage monuments. This will allow Tbilisi City Hall and legal entities established by the Tbilisi Municipality to simplify the approval process for project documentation before the authorized administrative body.
“The proposed legislative amendment aims to improve administrative processes in the field of cultural heritage protection, increase the efficiency of decision-making, and facilitate the implementation of rehabilitation works”, - Giorgi Gabunia stated.
