The Draft Law on Tourism adopted for the I reading

The Parliament adopted the Draft Law on Tourism for the I reading, introduced by the Deputy Chair of the Faction “Georgian Dream”, Irakli Kirtskhalia.
The Draft envisages that the mandatory insurance of health and accidents shall be suspended for the arriving tourists as of January 1, 2026.
“The current norms of the Law envisage the mandatory insurance of health and accidents for the tourists. Providing that certain issues have been outlined through active engagement of the representatives of the competent agencies requiring the inculcation of new regulations and multi-layered preparations, the additional terms shall be introduced to the agenda”, - he stated.
The Parliament approved the Draft with 76 votes.
