The Rules Procedural Issues Committee deliberated on the early termination of MP Paata Salia’s parliamentary mandate.

According to the Committee Chair, Davit Matikashvili, the issue was brought to the agenda following Paata Salia’s appointment as Minister of Justice, which, under the Constitution of Georgia and the Rules of Procedure of Parliament, is incompatible with the status of a Member of Parliament.

Consequently, MPs supported the committee’s respective conclusion.
