The Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Tamar Khulordava met with the Chair of the European Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Portugal, Regina Bastos.

T. Khulordava spoke about the Batumi International Conference, which is an effective platform for sharing experience between the countries. She emphasized EU integration process in Georgia, reforms, progress of legislative approximation to EU and necessity of the dialogue EU financial aid.

The parties discussed Georgia-Russia relations and necessity of peaceful resolution of the conflict.

“Portugal declares support to the countries willing to access to the EU. In this process, it is important for the EU applicant states to meet the respective criterion and share the European values”, - R. Bastos stated.
