A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG) and the Parliament’s Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee.

The memorandum aims to enhance cooperation between the parties to support decentralization and legislative backing for local self-governance.

The document was signed by the President of the National Association of Local Authorities, Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze, and the Chair of the Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee, Irakli Kadagishvili.

During the signing ceremony, the leaders of the Association and the Committee highlighted the importance of the memorandum. The event was held within the framework of NALAG’s Seventh National Conference of the Best Practice Programme (BPP), supported by the European Union.

During the event, the winning municipalities of the Best Practice Programme were awarded.

The ceremony was attended by Members of the Parliament of Georgia, the Chair of the Tbilisi City Assembly, and representatives of various municipalities.
