Alexander Tabatadze and Tengiz Sharmanashvili met with the representatives of the Defense Forces Command and Staff College

Alexander Tabatadze, Chair of the Defense and Security Committee, and his First Deputy, Tengiz Sharmanashvili, met with the participants of the defense and national security course of the 2025-2026 academic year of the MOD Defense Forces Military Training and Education Command and Staff College and introduced the key directions and oversight activities of the Committee.

Mr. Tabatadze provided the officers with information about the novelties under a new edition of the Defense Code and emphasized new approaches to conscription.

According to him, the reform modifying the conscription regulations resulted in increased interest of the youth in the military service.

At the meeting, A. Tabatadze reviewed the cooperation aspects with the Defense Ministry and the Defense Forces and underlined that the Defense and Security Committee is in close coordination with the Defense institutions and the Committee members regularly inquire about the theoretical and practical military trainings. He thanked the officers for their devotion to the country and extended his best wishes for their careers.
