Dimitri Khundadze, Chair of the Parliamentary Political Group “People’s Power” held a meeting with the students on the topic of “Demography and Global Policy”.

The discourse encompassed Georgia's demographic policy as one of the key determinants of state security.

Mr Khundadze emphasised the concept of demographic security, stating that high fertility, a young population and effective migration management are key factors in the country’s progress in the global competition.

He dwelt on the fertility and mortality, reproductive health, migrations, aging and the regional demographic indices of the country; he also reviewed the demographic state of other countries, their approaches and experience.

The meeting was attended by students from various universities.
