Givi Mikanadze Meets with Members of the Parliamentary Delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Givi Mikanadze, Chair of the Education, Science, and Youth Affairs Committee, met with the visiting delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, comprising Anar Iskandarov, Chair of the Science and Education Committee; Arzu Naghiyev, Chair of the Defence, Security, and Anti-Corruption Committee and Head of the Azerbaijan-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group; and Shahin Ismayilov, Chair of the Youth and Sports Committee.

The meeting focused on reviewing existing areas of cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries and underscored the importance of further strengthening these relations.

In the course of the discussion, Givi Mikanadze raised the idea of establishing exchange camps for young people. Both sides welcomed the initiative, highlighting that such a platform would foster communication among young people and lay the groundwork for future cooperation.

The meeting with the Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation, which included the chairs of the Milli Majlis’ Science and Education Committee, Youth and Sports Committee, and Defence, Security, and Anti-Corruption Committee, was also attended by Giorgi Chakvetadze, First Deputy Chair of the Parliament’s Education, Science, and Youth Affairs Committee, and Giorgi Sosiashvili, Deputy Chair of the Committee.
