Mariam Lashkhi, Victor Sanikidze and Vladimir Bozhadze met with the representatives of the International Federation of Physical Education and Sports (FIEPS)

Mariam Lashkhi, Victor Sanikidze and Vladimir Bozhadze met with the representatives of the International Federation of Physical Education and Sports (FIEPS)

Mariam Lashkhi, Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee; Victor Sanikidze, Chair of the Sports Committee; and Vladimir Bozhadze, Chair of the Parliamentary Political Group “Europea Socialists”, met with the Vice-President of FIEPS, Branislav Antala, and the Vice-President of the FIEPS regional center for Europe, Dario Novak.


The parties deliberated on the initiative aimig at the promotion of sports in schools and pre-school institutions.


“The State Sports University of Georgia is a FIEPS member. We reviewed the educational program “Sports Management” and agreed on exchange programs and sharing of sports expert knowledge”, - M. Lashkhi noted.


The opening of the FIEPS first regional center in Caucasus was announced at the Sports University, which will serve as a regional hub. The parties touched upon the organization of international scientific congress.


“In 2028, in connection with the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Sports University of Georgia, the 22nd International Scientific Congress will be held with the participation of over 250 scientists and more than 100 sports universities from around the world,” - V. Bozhadze stated.
