Nino Goguadze requesting appellation of the authority of the Russian Delegation at the PACE

Foreign Relations Committee 25 Jun 2019
Nino Goguadze requesting appellation of the authority of the Russian Delegation at the PACE

The Member of the Parliamentary Delegation to PACE, Nino Goguadze appealed authority of Russian Delegation.

She spoke about the aggressive actions of Russia, including annexation of Georgian territories – Abkhazia and Tskhinvali, and Ukrainian territory – Crimea, gross violation of the fundamental human rights in Crimea, Sevastopol and Georgian occupied regions.

The Georgian Delegation was supported by the Great Britain, Ukraine, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia and other Delegations.

The PACE has shared the appeal of Georgian Delegation and started investigation of violation of the CoE fundamental principles by Russia.

“We will take all advantages to constantly remind Russian Delegation that the aggressor and occupant country cannot have the full-fledged participation in the PACE. Occupation of Georgia and thousands of IDPs will constantly be on the agenda”, - N. Goguadze noted.
