The Chair of the parliamentary political group “European Socialists”, Vladimer Bozhadze, met with members of the initiative group “Georgian Youth Congress,” which is composed of students from various universities across Georgia.

During the meeting, the MP discussed ongoing reforms in the education sector, the main directions of system development, and planned changes.

According to him, higher education reform represents one of the most significant priorities for the country’s development.

“Our goal is to establish in Georgia an educational system that is modern, competitive, and exemplary. The education of future generations is the solid foundation upon which the country’s progress, economic development, and strong statehood are built”, - Vladimer Bozhadze stated.

According to him, particular importance is attached to the development of in-demand and practice-oriented professions that respond to the needs of Georgia’s labour market.

He also focused on initiatives envisaged under the education reform, including the introduction of school uniforms and the regulation of mobile phone use in schools.

The MP further noted the importance of strengthening vocational education and integrating it into the higher education system, which, in his view, would create additional opportunities for young people.

The meeting was held in a discussion format. Vladimer Bozhadze expressed readiness for continued active communication and cooperation with students and young people in the future.
